On April 24th, 2005, during a press conference at the Salle Albert Rousseau, Christiane Bélanger was fulfilling her dream: to found a classical ballet dance company that would offer a professional ballet to the city of Québec. Finally, after 15 years of hard work, she formed a group of serious and talented dancers that became the core dancers of Le Ballet de Québec.
Even if it is still young, Le Ballet de Québec is quickly rising to fame. Christiane Bélanger hopes that her company will soon be professionally recognized in Québec City to ensure a great future for the art of dancing in the region and to open the doors to international partnerships.
