Le Ballet de Québec will proudly present Blanche-Neige et les sept nains (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs) at the Grand Théâtre de Québec, on November 17, 2010.

This original ballet, based on the story by the Grimm Brothers, is directed and coregraphed by Christiane Bélanger with original soundtrack and lyrics by both reknowned composer Dominic Laprise and French author Dominique Martens and features a choregraphy by Jacques Marsa from the Paris Opera, as well as backdrops by multimedia artist José-Nicolas Binette and special live effects by magician Roland Larochelle.

A must-see in Quebec this Fall!

For the fourth consecutive year, Le Ballet de Québec, after three great successes (Cendrillon (Cinderella), Alice au Pays des Merveilles (Alice in Wonderland et Le Seigneur des Anneaux (The Lord of the Rings)), presents, in grand première this year, an original work from French director Dominique Martens with the original soundtrack by Dominic Laprise, who join director and coregrapher Christiane Bélanger. Never seen before! An original production!

More than 33 dancers on stage, horses, Roland Larochelle and his magic, Charles Cantin's multimedia, singer Marc Ferland and actress Marie Francine Godin will be part of the show.

With conceptors who are continually gaining in strenght and experience!

Transport yourself in another time, another epoch, with a fantastic story: children discover a magic chest in the ruins of a castle. It's a musical box that let you enter a parallel world. A beautiful adventure begins and takes us to a castle, suspended along the stars. Wiloff, the horse-riding leader of a tribe of bandits, will cause much harm to our two princes. A story filled with fairies, princes and princesses, where the only refuge will be this castle in the stars. We should always keeps these stars in our eyes, these apparently inaccessible dreams, and try to achieve them. To find his own star, that is the challenge of Prince Valerian. Fortunately, Mathilde the Fairy will guide him throughout his path.
