For the fourth consecutive year, Le Ballet de Québec, after three great successes (Cendrillon (Cinderella), Alice au Pays des Merveilles (Alice in Wonderland et Le Seigneur des Anneaux (The Lord of the Rings)), presents, in grand première this year, an original work from French director Dominique Martens with the original soundtrack by Dominic Laprise, who join director and coregrapher Christiane Bélanger. Never seen before! An original production!

More than 33 dancers on stage, horses, Roland Larochelle and his magic, Charles Cantin's multimedia, singer Marc Ferland and actress Marie Francine Godin will be part of the show.

With conceptors who are continually gaining in strenght and experience!

Transport yourself in another time, another epoch, with a fantastic story: children discover a magic chest in the ruins of a castle. It's a musical box that let you enter a parallel world. A beautiful adventure begins and takes us to a castle, suspended along the stars. Wiloff, the horse-riding leader of a tribe of bandits, will cause much harm to our two princes. A story filled with fairies, princes and princesses, where the only refuge will be this castle in the stars. We should always keeps these stars in our eyes, these apparently inaccessible dreams, and try to achieve them. To find his own star, that is the challenge of Prince Valerian. Fortunately, Mathilde the Fairy will guide him throughout his path.

All the girls who took part of the Summer Camp have been accepted at the École supérieure de ballet contemporain de Montréal for the year. (Sarah-Gabrielle Blanchet, Moïra Blanchet, Andréanne Côté, Camille Risi and Alexandra Simard). Ballerinas that seemingly had nice qualities, since they caught the attention of their professors by their distinguished and polite attitude.

Some students don't understand that respect is essential to get and stay in the major institutions. Talent is required, but personality too. Some will no pass, even with exceptional talent, because of their attitude, or will stay only for a short time. What today's youth needs to learn is tenacity and the sense of effort.

Congratulations to these five young girls who, I hope, will have a great career!!!

After the success of Cendrillon and Alice in Wonderland, The Lord of the Rings, the third production of Le Ballet de Québec directed by Christiane Bélanger, is a production where multimedia and special effects are put together to transport you into a colorful and spectacular universe.

The meeting of Good and Evil, starring Gabrielle Lafrenière and Alain Maltais, playing the role of Frodo. Over 35 artists, dancers, actors, singers, a magician and even horses (a white horse and a black horse will be on stage) will create an experience full of magical moments.

When the Great Rings were made, nine rings where gifted to the race of Men. One Ring, and only one, had the power over evil or good. The heart of men is corruptible when it comes to power and the Ring has it's own will. The Hobbits will determine the destiny of everyone. Elves will be their allies, but many steps are yet to get over...
